Let me introduce myself

06/14/2024

Let me reintroduce myself.  My name is Dina, but you can call me Ombuddy.

Dina Lynch Eisenberg I’m an Ombuds, ombuds program developer for small business, mediator and mentor

A member of the 7% Club.  That’s the percentage of Black women lawyers in the US.

For almost 3 decades, I’ve devoted my expertise and knowledge to support employees to successfully navigate the work conflicts and improve their experiences as an organizational Ombuds.

I love renovating houses almost as much as discovering new restaurants.

Now, I support professional women and men targeted for workplace abuse to make the decision to leave and create an effective, practical escape plan that makes the emotional, financial and professional transitions easier.

Targeted employees appreciate(and deserve) having a neutral third party who understands corporate life, shares their lived experiences and doesn’t question or judge their stories or actions. I’ve been targeted, survived, and, for the most part, healed. (Abuse leaves an indelible mark.)

Workplace abuse is a dreadful virus that infects most businesses. Abuse causes stress, depression and anxiety for targeted employees. It evokes fear and guilt in bystander employees. Lack of trust lowers productivity.  Lack of psychological safety causes fear that crushes innovation and collaboration.  Nobody wins. I’m doing my part to end it.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and celebrated.

Organizations can and should enact policies and practices that reduce or end workplace abuse. I’d love to see more companies embrace an ombuds program. Seems so logical to me to give your people a safe space while gathering the insights and information needed to be a healthy, trustworthy organization.

So, I invite you to work with me if you have a healthy workplace where people feel respected and cared for and want to keep it that way.  Ombuds is an effective early dispute resolution process that allows you to be proactive, not reactive.

If your workplace suffers from toxicity, don’t wait. Let’s work together to assess your systems and build a program that restores trust and engagement.

Let’s chat.
